France Now Recognizes Covishield Vaccine as Proof of Vaccination

Except for recognizing the vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the French authorities have revealed that the country will now accept proof of vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India.

However, France has now become the 14th EU Member State to allow entry for all travellers who have been immunised with the Covishield vaccine.

In addition, the French authorities have announced that persons who have received the second dose for two-shot vaccines (Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna) will now be considered fully vaccinated after one week, thus, shortening the frame after the second dose from 14 days to seven.

The list of countries that have recognised the Covishield vaccine includes Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
