Update on Processed Passport for Sweden

Posted On Tuesday, June 25, 2024

Effective From 1st July, If the processed passport/envelope includes a letter from the Embassy, the applicant or their representative must personally visit the visa application center where the application was submitted to collect the passport, regardless of the delivery method chosen during submission. The applicant or representative must sign the letter in the presence of VFS staff. This procedural change aims to ensure the safe and secure return of documents to applicants.

Representatives must bring a signed power of attorney, a copy of the applicant’s passport, and a copy of a government ID for document collection.
