India to offer free 30-day e-Tourist visa for Thai Nationals from 1st July

Posted On Tuesday, July 2, 2024

The Embassy of India in Bangkok, Thailand, issued a press release stating that the Government of India has announced a visa fee exemption scheme (e-Tourist visa) for ordinary Thai passport holders. The exemption applies to e-Tourist visas and will be effective from July 1 to December 31, 2024.

The new scheme allows Thai tourists to visit India for up to 30 days with double entry without paying any visa fees. However, e-Tourist visas must still be applied for in advance through the designated website: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.

This initiative aims to strengthen tourism ties between India and Thailand, encouraging more Thai tourists to explore India.
