Due to the current peak season, visa application processing times may be extended, currently taking up to three or four weeks. The maximum processing time, as per the Schengen visa code, is 45 days.

As the applications are processed in the Netherlands, the Embassy in New Delhi cannot expedite your application or provide status updates. Embassy strongly recommend applying for your visa well in advance. You may apply for your visa up to six months before your travel date (seafarers can apply nine months in advance).
