Sri Lanka is considering extending visa-free entry for Indian Tourist

Posted On Wednesday, February 14, 2024

Sri Lanka is considering the continuation of its visa exemption status for Indian tourists beyond March, potentially ensuring continued ease of travel to the island nation. India holds a significant position as Sri Lanka's primary source market, aiding the country's recovery from recent adversities.

Under the pilot project initiated last year and set to conclude on March 31, 2024, tourists are granted complimentary visas for their initial 30-day stay. Upon arrival, travelers are provided with dual entry status, with the visa validity restricted to a maximum of 30 days in Sri Lanka.
